Indie Lou is St. Louis based, multi-talented aerialist, stilt-walker, and fitness instructor with a passion for all things circus, theater, and movement.
Since 2005 Indie has been performing circus arts with a focus on aerial artistry and teaching since 2006. Training began in a youth circus school that counted Cirque du Soleil among their sponsors. From 2006 to present, ongoing training continues with aerial artist Joelle Pendergrass, Monté Carlo gold metal winner Sasha Nevidonski, and world renown contortion coach Rosa Yagaansetseg. Indie attends workshops every year with Cirque du Soleil twins Elsie and Serenity Smith at NECCA, Sarah Poole of the National Circus School of Montréal, Carrie Heller of Circus Arts Institute, and graduates of ENC Montreal: Michael Lamphear, Kevin O’Conner, and Terry Crane.
Individually, Indie has produced aerial and floor dance/acrobatic solos for the Paul Mitchell Ice Ball, the Citizen Jane Film Festival, Stephens College of Columbia, MO., The Lakewood Theater of Dallas, TX., St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, Palladium Night Club, grand opening receptions for the Jumping Jupiter Cabaret Club and Coliseum Night Club, Talbott Street Club, IN., and musical events for The Fountain on Locust, Off Broadway, Atomic Cowboy, and The Grammaphone,
In addition, Indie performs solos, acrobatic comedy pieces, and ensemble dance numbers as a member of The Beggars Carnivale and VanElla Productions.
Indie is co-producer of The Teacup Circus.
