Hi there! You are a beautiful aerialist Indie. I hope that I will develop that level of endurance one day! I have only been at it for a year now. Just curious, wear do you get your costumes? I am having a tough time finding fun carnivalesque cirque-wear. Help! And thank you
Endurance is definitely something that takes time to ramp up, but there are some great exercises to add to your program for speeding up your progress. This blog by Laura Witwer http://www.laurawitwer.com/ has some great tips on conditioning regimens specifically for aerialists.
The perfect circus costume is pretty hard to come by. Ebay has some gems from time to time, but it takes a lot of searching and patience. Many of my costumes are just leotards and unitards from dancewear catalogues that I’ve embelleshed. But my favorite custom costumes are made by Allison of Harmony Threads. You can check out her website http://www.harmonythreads.com/ or type in Harmony Threads on Etsy where she has a bunch of designs to choose from. Just send in your measurements and presto!
Good luck to you in your aerial endeavors
